Wilma Geerts (1962) is portretschilder, docent en oprichter van WG Galerie in Dordrecht. In haar galerie, gevestigd in een karakteristiek 16e-eeuws pand, richt ze zich op hedendaags realisme en geeft ze een podium aan zowel gevestigde kunstenaars als nieuw talent.

René Tweehuysen is a painter who clearly works within the tradition of Dutch painting.
His paintings have a contemporary feel, but the techniques he applies show strong similarities with those of the Masters of the 16th and 17th centuries.
René graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) in 1983. After completing his formal education, he spent three years studying the portrait practices and painting techniques of the Old Masters. 

It may sound like a cliche for an artist to tell his story like that but the truth is that depicting the world is not an option to me. I’m intrinsically driven by a deterministic urge to do so.

This quintessential force is absolutely irresistible, I have no control over it. 

Yvonne Melchers – Painter of Realism and AtmosphereBased in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, Yvonne Melchers creates figurative oil paintings that reflect her love for both the cool light of the North Sea and the warmth of Italian life. Her main series include The North Sea, Italian Scenes, Siena Palio Portraits, and Rooms with a View, painted with a fresh, limited palette as used by Claude Monet.

Claudia Kaak is a figurative artist based in Germany. She was born in 1987 in Heppenheim, Germany, where she lives and works. She is a member of the Portrait Society of America, Poets and Artists and the International Guild of Realism. Her work is held in collections nationally and internationally. 

Karin Neijenhuis (1974, Breda, NL) schildert met olieverf op doek of paneel. Ze schildert voornamelijk portretten maar ook stillevens. Haar werk is realistisch, vaak kleurrijk en verhalend. 
De kunstenaar haalt haar inspiratie uit het dagelijks leven. Van haar, en van de mensen om haar heen. Vooral over onderwerpen of momenten die niet per definitie bijzonder of mooi zijn.

Ik wist al van jongst af aan dat ik kunstschilder wilde worden. Ik was denk ik ook nergens anders geschikt voor geweest simpelweg omdat ik in mijn hoofd altijd bezig ben met kunst. Een simpel woord of gebeurtenis wordt in mijn hoofd direct omgezet in een beeldend verhaal. Ik kan misschien mijn schilderijen ook het best omschrijven als zijnde geschilderde verhaaltjes. Het is dan ook, zodra ik in mijn atelier zit, een drukte van belang in mijn hoofd, allerlei dieren steken, vaak letterlijk, hun kop op en piepen ineens op tussen het speelgoed en andere voorwerpen.
